4.3.1 Adding and editing a customer

Registering a new customer is done by pressing the button 'Add new customer' on the right side of the front page. The Add new customer function is used to prevent double registrations of customers in the system. If the customer is already found in the database with the same first name, last name and date of birth information - the registrar will be notified. If you select a person whose name can be found in the database, but is registered on the other side of the system, the window "Customer is registered on another system" will open for you. You can ask the contact person to transfer the customer to be your customer as well. Alternatively, you can use the name search to check if the customer you want to register is already visible on your home page, but then you will only find the customers according to your access rights.

The old customer's information can be edited by clicking on the line on the home page where the customer can be found and selecting 'Edit customer' or by double-clicking the customer on the home page.
