4.3.3 Sorting and filtering customers
Separation
Customers are sorted on the front page by column headings. By clicking on the headings, you can get that column sorted A-Ö ( ʌ ) or by clicking again Ö-A ( v ). Sorting applies to the front page view and is also preserved for the next login.

Sorting in alphabetical order according to last name can be turned on from its checkbox. The filtered and sorted front page view can be printed with the Export list to Excel button, so that the desired information is transferred to a separate Excel file as a copy.
Filtering
With the Filter by name function at the top of the customer list, you can quickly search for the customer you want by entering their name or part of their name.
With automatic filtering, the home page is already updated when the customer's name is entered. Front page automatic filtering is on by default on the front page with the Filter list automatically check box. If you want to use manual filtering, you can uncheck it and use the Filter button. Use the Clear button to clear all filter options.
There are slight differences in the filtering menus for detectives and workshops, but the operating principle is the same. Filtering choices are made either with drop-down menu choices or check boxes, in which case there can be several choices. Here are some examples of filters:
- Employee filtering can be applied to a specific employee based on name. Below the menu, you can choose if you want to see the customers of all employees, or only your own customers. You can also search for customers registered in the system who have not yet been assigned to any employee.

- The Joint youths check box only filters out youths shared by workshops and detectives.

- With the Municipality and unit drop-down menus, you can filter customers according to municipality and unit codes. This requires the introduction of own codes and the recording of these values in the customers' basic and/or period data. Front page filtering also takes into account period-specific filtering for these values.
- With the search time filter, you can search for customers in a certain time period. For example, filtering January 1, 2018–January 31, 2018 will highlight on the front page the customers whose period falls within the desired time interval. The filtering is period-based, and it takes into account both notification, start and end dates. The filter can be cleared with the check mark or the clear button. The date field of the calendar view can be accessed by double-clicking on it.
