4.4.1 Writing in data fields
You can fill in the fields in several different ways:
- If there is an arrow on the right side of the field, there is a menu under the arrow from which you can choose the appropriate option.
- If there is a question mark next to the field, by clicking on it you can make a selection from the easily opened menu. A question mark can be found in choices where there are plenty of options. The drop-down menu is clearer to understand.
- If it is a date field, you can display the calendar by double-clicking the field.
- If the field name is followed by an apostrophe ', you can get additional instructions by moving the mouse cursor over the word.
- You can write directly in the field, and the program will suggest an alternative if it has already been registered in the system. In that case, accept the suggested content, because computationally, e.g. native French is different from French - let alone French.
- If the content of the field is new, and you can't find e.g. the language Afrikaans in the menu, write it in the field completely. The program processes new information computationally: another language, which one?
