5.5 Situation
Index
The status page should be filled out at least for all customers reached. National statistics collect information about the young person's initial situation when he or she arrives at youth work, but the change in the young person's situation should also be made visible. In addition to the initial situation, it is also recommended to record the changes. As the customership progresses, there may be several Situation rows when the young person's life situation changes. Changes in e.g. starting school and getting to work are big results that we want to see.
- In the "Situation date" field, enter the date when the young person's starting situation is known or the date when a significant change has taken place.
- The highest degree completed by the young person is selected from the Highest education field.
- In the Education status now field, the most recent education status is recorded, which can also include studies being completed or interrupted studies.
- Information about the young person's current situation is entered in the main activity, livelihood and living arrangement fields.
Additional information can be entered in the open fields of the Tilanne magazine, and the checkboxes (such as interrupted studies) are optional additional information. If all the information about the young person's initial situation is not available, remember to update the information later! The goal is that not a single 'no information' choice remains in the starting situation of the young person reached. The starting situation is always the oldest data line of the young person, which appears as the bottom line of the selection list. If no situational information has been recorded for the customer at all, the letter T is displayed for the customer on the home page.
If any of the status lines are missing entries or "no information" is entered there, you will find the letter O on the front page, which means that some of the status information is missing. Recording situation information is mandatory only for the young people who have been reached, but it is recommended to record them for everyone whose situation information is known.
